Frequently Asked Questions

What are the pressure differences between a regular, twisted, and 4 knot halter?Regular rope halters consist of only 2 nose knots. This allows for a flat but precise pressure. Regular rope halters are ideal for all training and horse ownership applications. Twisted rope halters are going to have a twisted nose band and/or crown. The twist allows for many points of pressure. This is ideal for horses who tend to be pushy as well as for riding applications. Four knot halters are similar to regular halters but have 2 additional knots on the bridge of the nose. These knots provide pressure points to better signal to the horse. These are ideal for training large or pushy horses.
